Review – Trustworthy Home Inspector for First Time Home Buyers
After losing out on several houses due to other buyers waiving inspection, I thought I might never be able to buy a home in Richmond. Buying a 100 year old house without an inspection was a risk that I was not willing to take and realized that if I wanted to get a house in a competitive market, I would have to do a pre-contract home inspection while touring the house. Johnny made himself available with only a days notice and performed a thorough review of the home; checking the electrical, foundation, etc. while I viewed the house. He educated me throughout the process and I felt comfortable waiving the inspection based on his review. Because I waived the inspection, I was able to get the house of my dreams! As a first time solo home buyer, the support of Johnny throughout this entire process has been greatly appreciated. I will definitely be using CHS for future needs on my new home!

Review – Very Thorough and Impressive Knowledge
My Dad is an engineer so I feel like I understand more about the common electrical and mechanical issues in homes. I will say that Johnny was very thorough and impressive with his knowledge during our home inspection in Falls Church City. There were several examples where he took panels off, went under and into areas to make sure everything was done properly. As a result we found some very surprising things that we would not have known otherwise. He gave us a very detailed understanding of the systems in the house. I highly recommend him.

Commonwealth Home Services was fantastic. I am an architect and have worked with a number of home inspectors in the past. Incredibly professional and detailed. He is well qualified with a background in HVAC construction, repair and general construction. Far more qualified than other inspectors I have dealt with. He really knows his stuff. I’ve used Johnny on two home purchases and have recommended him to the rest of my family in the area. He saved us a lot of money and found some surprises I missed. You can’t go wrong.

Review – Invaluable, Will Definitely Call Again!
We had Johnny help us get ready for the sale of our home in Warrenton Virginia, where he helped with a ton of things including HVAC, our crawl space, and help evaluating our insulation and siding. He has a ton of general knowledge about country homes and it was invaluable before our inspection. I’ve since called him to help with an emergency we had at our business — he responded right away and solved the problem. Definitely will call him again!

Review – Easily Recommend to Anyone that Needs a Home Inspection
I’ve only ever had two home inspections done, and they were night and day by comparison. Johnny was friendly, professional and meticulous. He supplied us with great tips and tricks on all sorts of things I never thought about as he went through our Arlington Virginia home with us. He clearly takes pride in his work and seems to really enjoy what he’s doing. I left the home inspection with a much greater confidence of the good and bad of the home. I would easily recommend him to anyone that needs a home inspection.
